The Ideal History

Ideal Products was formerly known as Ideal Plastic and was founded in 1991 by Dale Maloney and Wanda Maloney. The vision of the business was to manufacture Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Jacketing Systems for the Mechanical Insulation Industry. Throughout the period of 1991 to 1999, Ideal Plastic experienced steady growth and became a solid supplier of Plastic Jacket Systems.

In 1999 Ideal’s current owners began the foundation for expansion. In 2003 Ideal entered into the Metal Jacketing Business, complimenting the product line to our existing customers.

In 2005 Ideal opened its own manufacturing plant in China. In 2007 Ideal built a new manufacturing facility in Canada as well as constructed a larger plant in DongGuan China.  In late 2007 Ideal opened a special fabrication location in Stoney Creek Ontario and now in 2008 has moved the DongGuan operation to a larger location for increased production capacity.
